Soft Fragmentation Protection for Knee Joint for Crye Precision Combat Pants, developed in collaboration with PSDinfo and TM Ballistics, designed to protect the knee joint from small fragments and provide cushioning against physical impact. It helps maintain the mobility and health of the soldier on the battlefield, as joint injuries and penetrating wounds are very difficult to treat.
Material: Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) from the Israeli company FMS, officially represented in Ukraine by Ballistics. This material offers excellent fragmentation protection, reliability, and low weight compared to other types of soft protection made from Kevlar or UHMWPE.
Protection Class: NATO STANAG 2920 V-50 = 614.5 m/s (with a margin of error of ±40 m/s) or Class 1 protection according to domestic DSTU 8782: 2018. Official test protocols from the Ministry of Defense.
Size: 290 x 200 mm.
Knee joint protection area: 5.77 sq. dm.
UHMWPE ballistic panels do not lose their ballistic properties when wet, unlike Kevlar (para-aramid). Altogether, this results in very high protective properties, achieved thanks to the advanced technologies of the Israeli company FMS (manufacturer of UHMWPE material) and the quality production of the ballistic panel by the company "Ballistics."
