A group of Ukrainian contractors, primarily composed of PSDinfo members, were direct witnesses and participants in the fall of Kabul and the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan. For some time, we had been surrounded, and events unfolded extremely quickly. One day, we received orders to evacuate our personnel from the green zone in central Kabul to our base located to the north. By morning, Kabul had been captured, and we switched to defense mode to protect our base.

Machine gun nests were placed on rooftops, and sandbags were positioned at every corner of the building. Our fighters were ready to engage in combat in the event of an attempted capture or attack by the Taliban. We remained surrounded for a week, unable to leave, anticipating any possible scenario.

This is our unique story, showcasing the professionalism of Ukrainians, most of whom had military experience from the ATO period and were ready to fight while fully encircled, thousands of kilometers from home.

From those times, the story of Work & Travel was born, validated by the real actions of the PSDinfo team.

Along with the patch, collectible photo cards with the story of PSDinfo in Afghanistan are included:

  1. The last photo with the PSDinfo flag against the backdrop of Kabul airport and UH-60 helicopters, signed by all event participants.
  2. The day of evacuation from Afghanistan.
  3. A view over Kabul city.
  4. A typical street in Kabul's "green zone" area, depicting the daily life and routines of children.
  5. A view from a vehicle while driving on one of the roads towards the city.
