Soon the whole world will learn that all coups and local conflicts happen precisely with the involvement of "adventurers," mercenaries, "wild geese," or "PMCs" (Private Military Companies) under the close supervision of state special services. All leading countries of the world are already equipped with private military firms; they just have different names, statuses, authorities, and resources. These semi-civilian units are easier to cover up in cases of disputes or global force majeure situations. These companies do not bear the same responsibility in international legal decisions as the military personnel of a specific country, branch, or military unit. In turn, the mercenaries, "contractors," do not bear moral, human, or emotional responsibility for the actions they perform in a foreign country because that country is not their homeland. They are simply paid good money for it, and they believe that "After me, the deluge!" Therefore, when we see a small local conflict, we must understand that a very large global "director" stands behind it, and the small interests of the population, unfortunately, will not be considered in these global disputes.

Foreword

Today, many local conflicts are happening in the world. The tactics of war have transformed over the years into new clashes and hybrid wars. The methods of depriving people of the most precious thing—human life—are becoming more sophisticated.

To all those who think that wars and conflicts will end in the near future, I want to say right away that they will never end. They will transform, change names, and have a multifaceted tactical system, but their essence will remain unchanged—the essence of war and military actions. Where political actions and inactions flow from state offices to streets, cities, and spaces. Where, through the killing of man by man, the state and its workers—politicians—try to resolve many issues that are advantageous to them here and now.

From history, "which teaches us nothing," we can clearly trace the reasons why many countries and peoples have fought each other. And these reasons remain unchanged; we just receive information from the press about the conflict in the context that is advantageous to someone.

The ultimate reasons for global wars have been, are, and will be the main components—territory, resources, and financial flows. These are the three pillars on which war and its relatives—local conflicts—stand. In my book, I would like to warn "adventurers" and familiarize my readers with the tactics of personal protection and actions during military conflicts. It differs significantly from the civilian tactics of personal protection in peacetime.

If my book helps save at least one human life—a soldier, officer, specialist, or an ordinary person—a seeker of adventures who found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, then it was written for a reason, and my efforts will not be in vain. I wish all warriors victory, all defenders good luck, and all mothers to see their loved ones return home.
