M-TAC Anti-Fragmentation Apron with Class 1A Ballistic Package LASER CUT XL MULTICAM
by
M-TAC
SKU: 00212
The designers of the M-TAC brand have developed and created an anti-fragmentation apron that serves as an additional protective element for the groin and sacral area of the body against ricochets and fragments.
It is made from Cordura 500D, a super-strong fabric resistant to abrasion and high loads. On both sides of the apron, the designers have included a MOLLE interface made using Laser Cut technology.
This piece of equipment comes with a ballistic package designed to protect against ricochets and fragments. It is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and complies with STANAG 2920 with a fragment resistance rating of V-50 at approximately 580 m/s.
For comparison, in terms of bullet resistance, the ballistic package with a similar composition corresponds to class 1a (9x18 APS) according to DSTU 4103-2002 and class 1 (9x18 APS, 9x19 Luger) according to the new DSTU 8782:2018. (Class 1a and class 1 refer to the equivalent composition tested on standard samples of 400x400 mm. Therefore, on smaller or differently shaped samples, the backface trauma may vary).
It attaches under the flap of a plate carrier or body armor using two velcro straps, which allow for height adjustment of the apron.
